SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

1. Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
2. Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice

This position plays a vital role in supporting Aboriginal children, young people, families and carers engaged with Safeguards, while also strengthening the cultural responsiveness and safety of mental health services across the District. The role sits within a large, well established Aboriginal Mental Health team across South Western Sydney LHD, offering strong professional and cultural peer support.
As part of a growing network of Senior and Principal Aboriginal Health Workers, this position provides cultural leadership, guidance and support to Aboriginal Mental Health Workers across the Macarthur to Wingecarribee region, contributing to service development, community partnerships and improved outcomes for Aboriginal consumers and families.

Requirements- Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
- Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard in broad clinical areas including women's health, sexual health, child or adolescent health, care of the traumatised patient and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.

The Level 3 Senior Occupational Therapist will work within the acute team to provide clinical expertise in the management of acute care patients across the acute wards providing chronic and complex care to a variety of patient caseloads; including general medical, aged care and neurology.
This position suits someone with a strong understanding of patient flow and a passion to think strategically around managing demand and long length of stay patients. Join B31 Neurology Ward as a Clinical Nurse Educator and play a key role in shaping the future of nursing practice through education, mentorship, and professional development. This exciting opportunity allows you to lead clinical education initiatives, provide orientation and competency development, deliver bedside teaching, and support staff to achieve excellence in patient-centred care.
Working Monday to Friday with no shift work, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on both staff development and patient outcomes within a supportive and specialised neurology environment.
Are You the Right Fit?We are seeking a passionate and motivated Clinical Nurse Educator who demonstrates excellent communication skills, including active listening, to effectively support, mentor, and develop nursing staff. You will bring strong attention to detail, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, education, and patient care are maintained.
Neurology experience is highly valued; however, candidates with strong clinical education experience and a commitment to developing their neurology knowledge are encouraged to apply. Selection CriteriaTo help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
- Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education / clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
