The Position
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department at the Mersey Community Hospital and the Northwest Regional Hospital. The Emergency Departments at Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) and North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) deliver high-quality emergency care to communities across North-West Tasmania. The Northwest Emergency Departments are dynamic, high-energy environments where no two shifts are the same. You Will Need
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

- Competent in resuscitation roles inclusive of airway, procedures and scribe.

Selection Criteria
Clinical Leadership experience at a senior level in a tertiary, regional health service. or equivalent.

The ATSICHS Family Wellbeing Services (FWS) program provides a coordinated and culturally safe support system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families experiencing vulnerability. By offering a comprehensive mix of services tailored to family and community needs, we aim to build family capacity, strengthen community connections, and safeguard the wellbeing of children. At ATSICHS, through holistic case management, and collaboration with multiple service providers, FWS empowers families to navigate challenges, develop essential life skills, and access therapeutic support. The program also engages with families involved in the child protection system, working to address safety concerns, facilitate reunification and support positive outcomes for children and their families.
The Family Wellbeing Team Leader role is a front line-management role, part of the Community Services leadership team. As a Team Leader at ATSICHS, we believe in leading teams through showing and doing, not delegating and micro-managing. We utilise a coaching approach to management that supports staff to achieve excellence with clients through side-by-side in-field mentoring and coaching, growing staff practice skills, professionalism, stakeholder influencing and personal organisation. As a leadership team, and front-line Team Leader, we are focused on client impact above anything else. Client impact in a manager role means we utilise data in a safe and supportive way to identify team case management quality, engage clients across the service to ensure our follow-through and client satisfaction, and proactively harness client feedback to make improvements as a team.
Duties
- Diligent tracking of intake waitlist, ensuring contact with clients around expected service timeframe and awareness of referral. Develop referral pathways across sector through strong interagency partnerships to maintain annual service target of clients.
- Assertively support staff with low initial engagement to consent achievement rates aiming for an 80% program success rate.
- Ensure all staff complete the 'Worker Safety Assessment' prior, and directly after, first home visit, ensuring a safe working environment culture is developed in team.
- Ensure all staff facilitate ATSICHS 'Narrative Assessment Tools' and are completed in full by client ensuring the voices of clients are imbedded in their assessment.
- Ensure staff facilitate FLDM meetings with broader family kin, gaining family consensus on their challenges and path forward.
- Lead the coaching of staff to consistently implement client empowerment interventions between key worker and clients. Utilise the Coaching App to record all staff.
- Ensure staff utilise internal ATSICHS services, coordinating to ATSICHS medical, dental, kindy, and allied health services, as part of case plan. Ensure staff also enact specialist care pathways (mental health, allied health, child assessments etc).
- Lead the delivery of client feedback and brief wellbeing measurement tools (Session Rating Scale and Outcome Rating Scale) to be utilised by staff upon every face-to-face interaction. Disseminate staff uptake and scoring data, building a practice culture of responsive client improvement.

This influential role combines team leadership, culturally responsive practice, participant support and community engagement.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLEAs a Senior Local Area Coordinator - First Nations, you will lead, supervise and develop a team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Local Area Coordinators, fostering a culturally safe, supportive and high performing environment. You will also maintain a participant caseload and work with families, communities, service providers and the NDIA to improve access, address barriers and achieve equitable outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, coach and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LAC staff, including oversight of complex matters.
- Help participants and families understand the NDIS, develop and implement plans, access services and exercise choice and control.
- Build trusted relationships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, community leaders, providers, peak bodies and the NDIA.
- Promote NDIS awareness and participation through culturally appropriate engagement, including workshops and yarning circles.
- Champion culturally safe practice and strengthen capability across the broader team.
- Monitor service quality, documentation, performance, risk and compliance, and implement practical improvements.
- Advocate for accessible, inclusive and equitable services for people with disability, their families and carers.
You will lead, supervise and develop a team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Local Area Coordinators, fostering a culturally safe, supportive and high performing environment. You will also maintain a participant caseload and work with families, communities, service providers and the NDIA to improve access, address barriers and achieve equitable outcomes.
You bring strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and demonstrated experience working respectfully with the community. You are a capable people leader who can build trust, guide practice, resolve complex issues and support others to deliver high quality community or disability services.
You will also bring:
- Knowledge of the NDIS, participant pathway and barriers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities may face when accessing mainstream services.
- Strong relationship building, organisational, problem solving and professional writing skills.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in disability or community services.
- A commitment to child safety, cultural safety, inclusion and person centred practice.
Lived experience of disability, personally or as a carer, will be highly regarded.

The Team
The Royal Hobart Hospital seeks a highly motivated and team orientated Clinical Nurse Consultant -McGrath Cancer Care Nurse to provide leadership and direction to support and care for geriatric patients within Southern Tasmania who have been diagnosed with Cancer.
Cancer and Blood Services (CaBS) at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), is a comprehensive service dedicated to cancer and blood disorder patients including the state-wide bone marrow transplant service. The units together with the McGrath Foundation of Australian work together to provide treatment, research, clinical trials and education regarding these diseases and survivorship care.
The Cancer and Blood Services Team, with their multi-disciplinary approach, not only support the patient but allow health professionals to deliver optimum clinical outcomes for patients and their families. The Role
Provide expert clinical leadership and specialist nursing care for older people with cancer, supporting comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and referral across oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care, allied health, and community services.
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based geriatric oncology practice, clinical guidelines, education resources, quality improvement initiatives, and service development in alignment with the McGrath Model of Care.
Act as a clinical resource and advocate for patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals, while building multidisciplinary partnerships and contributing to strategic planning and the ongoing development of geriatric cancer services.
You will need
Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, with substantial clinical experience in oncology/cancer nursing and demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care of older people with cancer.
Demonstrated clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, care coordination, education, and quality improvement skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based clinical practice and guidelines.
Highly developed communication, consultation, assessment, and organisational skills, with the ability to provide expert advice, support complex patient and family needs, and work autonomously while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams.

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working up to64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until October 2027.

About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Palliative Care works as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team providing expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals across RPAH. The Palliative Care CNC:
- Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
- Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice.
- Initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
- Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs.
- Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
- A current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
- Approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
- Leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills including word processing, presentation, spread sheet applications and clinical information systems.

The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is the registered nurse in charge of a ward/unit or group of wards/units or a service within SESLHD. The purpose of the NUM is to:lead, direct and co-ordinate patient or client care;ensure the practice of nursing is safe and efficient, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvement initiatives;lead and co ordinate the nursing and multidisciplinary care team at the ward or unit level, and monitor and manage the business and management functions and processes of the ward or unit. As the leader of the unit, the NUM2 will demonstrate her/his capability through attitude, skills, behaviour and attributes, namely:broad nursing experience and knowledge;understanding and acceptance that patients are the central focus of service delivery;professional integrity;ethical conduct;accountability;advocacy;enabling others;cultivation of collaborative relationships and effective team work;commitment to advancing the profession of nursing and care provision. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2, whose responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a Nursing Unit Manager Level 1.

Selection Criteria
