Mater Research is seeking an outstanding clinician-scientist to lead and grow our Women's Cancer and Medical Oncology Research Program. About you

To succeed in this role, you will be an accomplished medical oncologist with a strong track record of research leadership and passion for improving outcomes for women with cancer.

You will bring:

• A Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Specialist recognition in Medical Oncology and registration in Australia.
• A PhD or equivalent research doctorate.
• An established track record in translational cancer research.
• A strong publication record and evidence of research impact.
• Success in obtaining competitive grant funding and developing strategic collaborations.
• Experience in leading or contributing to clinical trials.

UQ Gatton Medical Centre is a university-based general practice operated by UQ Health Care, providing primary healthcare services to current University of Queensland students and staff, as well as dependants of international students.

The practice operates as a group general practice, with General Practitioners supported by nursing and administrative/reception staff. Services include general medical consultations, preventative health, women's and men's health, sexual health, mental health support, immunisations, travel medicine, skin checks, minor illness and injury care, health assessments, referrals and prescription services. The clinic also provides Q Fever screening and vaccination programs for eligible students and staff.

Consultations are bulk billed for patients with a current Medicare card. International students with Allianz OSHC have eligible GP consultations billed directly to Allianz. Patients with other private health or OSHC providers may be required to pay at the time of consultation and claim their rebate from their insurer. Certain services, including occupational/work-related medicals, Q Fever services and some vaccinations, may incur a fee.

The practice is located on the UQ Gatton campus and primarily services the university community rather than operating as a general community practice.

UQ Gatton Medical Centre is seeking a GP who can work 1-2 days per week and offers flexibility enabling autonomy without being locked into a typical GP contract.

The clinic does not operate weekends, evenings or public holidays, and the seasonal nature of campus life means GPs experience a balance in demand. The team takes advantage of this flexibility to make space for family commitments, school holiday leave and professional development.
