We are seeking a Staff Specialist Radiation Oncologist to join a growing and progressive cancer service in Tasmania. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment, providing consultant-level care across both inpatient and outpatient settings while contributing to a well-established and expanding oncology service.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality radiation oncology services, including participation in an on-call roster, involvement in quality assurance initiatives, and contributing to ongoing service development.

The position also offers strong exposure to teaching and mentoring, with opportunities to support both undergraduate and postgraduate training. In addition, you will be actively involved in research and clinical trials, working alongside a skilled and supportive team with access to advanced treatment capabilities, including statewide brachytherapy services.

Health Service

The Northern Cancer Service provides comprehensive and integrated cancer care to a population of approximately 250,000 people across Northern Tasmania. It brings together medical oncology, radiation oncology, and haematology services to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the region.

The service operates across multiple sites, including Launceston and Burnie, with modern facilities and ongoing expansion. The WP Holman Clinic in Launceston has capacity for multiple linear accelerators and supports outreach services to surrounding regions, ensuring broad access to specialised oncology care.

With a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, the service is supported by an established clinical trials unit and a highly engaged multidisciplinary team environment.

Essential Criteria

Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Radiation Oncology

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR)

Demonstrated experience in radiation oncology at consultant level

Permanent full-time role (76 hours per fortnight) with flexible arrangements negotiable

Base salary starting from approx. $484,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Additional salary ranges available from $216,300 – $310,389 depending on classification

The St Vincent's Hospital Addiction Medicine Specialist position provides clinical leadership, supports specialty training, and promotes patient safety and quality across the Service, Drug Health, the Stream, and the Hospital. The position proactively seeks to drive cross-service and cross-speciality expert care and training within and without the hospital.

The position provides specialist clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team which may be in inpatient, outpatient and hospital liaison services. This is a vacancy to fill one permanent, sessional appointment at 0.6 FTE (12 sessions per fortnight) at Albany. One session = 4 hours.

Consultant Year 1-9: $815.10 - $1,035.88 per session.

In this position, you will deliver comprehensive clinical assessments and provide psychiatric care and treatment for children and adolescent in the community and inpatient setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical governance across the Great Southern for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Stream in consultation with the CAMHS Regional Team Leader.

• Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnoses, and psychiatric treatment, ensuring that best practice clinical interventions are provided for children and adolescents.

• Liaise and confer regularly with general practitioners, paediatricians and other health care professionals.

• Supervise and mentor medical students, junior doctors and rural training psychiatry registrars.

• Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to education, training and research projects relevant to the mental health service.

• Provide a secondary consultation service during clinic hours for General Practitioners in the catchment area.

The Great Southern Mental Health Service is a well-established service comprising of Child and Adolescent, Adult community and Consultant Liaison service. Each team is staffed by a psychiatrist, at least one registrar, a resident medical officer, experienced nurses, Aboriginal mental health workers, lived experience workers and a mix of allied health professionals.

The CAMHS team is based in the community clinic in Albany and provides outreach to other towns in the region. Rural Generalists (RGs) at RFDS join a team that combines experienced RGs alongside Retrieval Consultants, together providing primary care, emergency aeromedical care and telemedicine - a uniquely supported environment for RGs and senior GP trainees alike.

The RFDS Primary Health Care Service is delivered by a team of RGs, ACRRM and RACGP Registrars, nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals. Comprehensive health services are delivered by a combination of telephone consultations, scheduled fly-in clinics encompassing GP/Nurse/Midwife/Mental Health/Oral Health, with additional permanent Remote Area Nurse clinics across various SA locations. varied needs is supported by the many specialist facets of our service.

Our team based model is founded on the principles of collaborative and shared decision making between the senior medical member, clinical manager and team clinicians. Our teams are headed by a clinical manager, who works closely with the psychiatrist and clinicians to co-ordinates the multidisciplinary team activities. The ESMHS has 5 teams across two sites, and your position will be to provide leadership and clinical care in one of these teams. Our Adult Community teams are also supported by close linkages with other teams and NGOs. The Department of Radiology at Westmead Hospital is entering an exciting phase of transformation, with a strong focus on a positive, engaged, and forward looking department. Delivering a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services across Western Sydney Local Health District, the department supports complex acute and subspecialty clinical care within one of Australia's busiest tertiary environments.

• 5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision of junior trainees and medical students, and familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support clinical research within the Department.
• 6. Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.
• 7. Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner.
