The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 within the Community Wound Care Unit provides expert clinical leadership and complex, client-centred consultancy across community and specialist wound care services at Prince of Wales Hospital. The role leads the advancement of clinical practice through supervision, education and mentoring of nursing staff, development of evidence-based practice standards and specialist education resources, and participation in state and national initiatives. The CNC Grade 2 applies and contributes to research, disseminates specialist knowledge, and drives strategic service improvements through the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative clinical practices, service plans and complex projects. About The Opportunity
This is a Permanent full time position for a Staff Specialist with Campbelltown and Camden Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department. This position will also serve as a temporary appointment as the Obstetrics Head of Department for the remainder of Quinquennium.

What You'll be doing
Review and monitor women attending obstetric outpatient services who receive a consistent woman centered quality service across Antenatal clinics, Feto-Maternal Assessment Unit & Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit.

• Provide clinical governance & obstetric leadership for Birthing unit policy and procedure development
• Active surveillance of obstetric KPIs including maternal & perinatal morbidity and mortality
• Review and monitor postpartum care of women in the hospital and via the midwifery-support program at home following early discharge
• Develop and expand models of care to meet the needs of women, including continuity of care high risk and low-risk midwifery models, as well as GPSC
• Focus on improving obstetric outcomes for vulnerable women including Aboriginal, CALD, migrant and refugee groups, and women with identified psycho-social vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to improving obstetric indicators ACHS, WHA, HACs.

Where You'll Be Working Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.

Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicatedStaff Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join our team at Canterbury Hospital!

The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Emergency Medicine, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Emergency Department and Hospital as required.

The Emergency Medicine Staff Specialist will provide clinical care to adult and paediatric patients who present to The Canterbury Hospital Emergency Department (ED). In addition to carrying a clinical patient load, the Staff Specialist will be expected to supervise junior medical staff, review clinical cases seen by juniors or trainees, and provide senior decision making to expedite clinical care and patient flow. The Staff Specialist must be capable of working collaboratively with nursing managers in managing the ED floor to optimise patient flow and maintain a safe working environment. They must be able to communicate with admitting teams, medical retrieval teams and tertiary referral centres for escalation of patient care when appropriate.

The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) with recognised qualifications in Emergency Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
