You will be a senior medical member of the Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS), a multidisciplinary team based service that includes specialist mental health nurses (including a GP liaison CNC), psychologists, allied health clinicians, and peer support workers. You will be working in a service alongside other senior medical officers, and psychiatry trainees. The goals of the ACMHS is to deliver consumer-focused, contemporary and meaningful care that meets the needs of consumers across several phases of care. varied needs is supported by the many specialist facets of our service.

Our team based model is founded on the principles of collaborative and shared decision making between the senior medical member, clinical manager and team clinicians. The ESMHS has 5 teams across two sites, and your position will be to provide leadership and clinical care in one of these teams. • Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow for Royal College of Physicians with sub-specialty in obstetric medicine and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973.


• Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice in obstetric medicine.


• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.


• Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff.


• Evidence of research, innovation and leadership in service delivery and obstetric medicine.


• Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate in the provision of health services at an LHD level.


• Preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster.


• Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
