Reporting to the WHS Manager - Victoria, the Lead Work Health & Safety Partner is a key leadership role responsible for providing expert WHS guidance, partnering with operational leaders, and ensuring effective implementation of WHS systems, programs and governance across Victorian operations.

About You

You are an experienced WHS professional and people leader who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to create safer workplaces and deliver meaningful organisational outcomes. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to influence at all levels of a complex organisation. You are comfortable balancing operational priorities with strategic initiatives and have a genuine passion for improving workplace health, safety and wellbeing.

You Will Bring Minimum five years' experience in a senior WHS role. Demonstrated experience leading safety initiatives within a complex organisation. Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and industry standards. Experience conducting investigations, audits, inspections and risk assessments. Proven ability to influence, coaching and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong leadership capability with experience developing and supporting teams. About the role

The St Vincent's Hospital Addiction Medicine Specialist position provides clinical leadership, supports specialty training, and promotes patient safety and quality across the Service, Drug Health, the Stream, and the Hospital.

The position proactively seeks to drive cross-service and cross-speciality expert care and training within and without the hospital.

The position provides specialist clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team which may be in inpatient, outpatient and hospital liaison services.

About the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU)

SVHM adopts a centralised nurse workforce model. This means that all casual bank nurses are employed under the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU) Casual Nurse Bank team, regardless of where they work within the organisation. The Health e Workforce platform is utilised by the nurse workforce team to offer shifts fair and equitably to all casual bank nurses according to their skill sets across all wards throughout the hospital.

About the Position

Working across dynamic settings, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality. We are looking for ENs and RNs with 12 months of experience for a casual role. The casual nature of employment allows for flexible rostering depending on supplementary staffing demand.

Classifications for this position will range between ZU3 - ZU11 ($84,188.00 - $107,510.00 per annum, pro rata).

Open Support is a community service organisation committed to providing assistance to families in need across New South Wales. Open Support offers services that are professional, flexible and responsive to emerging community needs. As one of our key service areas, we provide crisis accommodation, transitional accommodation support, case management and child specific case support to CALD and migrant women and children who have experienced and are escaping family violence. In addition to our crisis facility, support is also offered to clients who are transitioning or have transitioned from crisis accommodation to longer-term housing and in an outreach capacity. The Open Support DFV Program aims to ensure that women and children are supported in ways that leave them empowered to make choices that prioritise their own safety & wellbeing and that lead them to experience and increased sense of control and hope for their futures.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated early childhood professional to lead the development and implementation of a child and family support framework for Open Support Domestic & Family Violence Service. Your knowledge and experience in working with children and families who have experienced trauma will help to guide service delivery and drive the provision of high-quality, child centred, trauma informed, support. This role will allow you to utilise both your practical skills in working directly with children and families as well as your program and project management skills, to ensure that best practice is established and embedded into the service delivery framework at Open Support. Your experience in developing and delivering individual and group interventions will be crucial to your success in this role. You will also have a sound working knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines in relation to child protection, including the application of and compliance with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or similar qualification in related discipline
• Experience supporting children and/or families affected by DFV to realise positive change, using a flexible, child centred and trauma informed approaches to service delivery.
• Demonstrated understanding of early childhood development and experience in developing and applying play based approaches within a family violence (or related) setting.
• Knowledge of specific issues facing children who have experience trauma and its impact on child development, attachment and behaviour.
• Demonstrate ability to create, implement and evaluate evidence based programs of support
• Ability to identify and effectively manage risk as it relates to children and families in a DFV setting
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and network with multiple service providers to ensure client's needs are met.
• Strong interpersonal, active listening and negotiation skills and experience in effectively managing difficult situations.
• Demonstrated skills in working both autonomously and within a small team context
• Knowledge of some of the specific issues facing migrants and people from CALD backgrounds who experience DFV.
• Completion of ECAV training or other approved child protections qualification, or willingness to work toward same.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence, Working With Children Check and NSW Police Check clearance

This position is part of the ALERT Team within the Health Care for Homeless Program (HfH). The HfH Program provides a range of services within St Vincent's to support people who are experiencing, or are at risk of, homelessness. The program aims to strengthen the integration and coordination of existing services across St Vincent's Hospital and develop new services to respond to the needs of the target population. Operationally, the role has strong links with the Health Independence Program (HIP). About the Role/The Opportunity

Reporting to the Clinical Program Director of Continuing Care, the Clinical Director of Palliative Care provides strategic, clinical and professional leadership for SVHM's comprehensive Palliative Care Service. With a national and international reputation for excellence and compassion, the Palliative Care Service delivers specialist palliative care across acute inpatient services, the Inpatient Specialist Palliative Care Unit at Caritas Christi, Subacute Wards at the Fitzroy and Kew campuses, community outreach, correctional health, and partnerships with rural and regional health services. We are seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who combines specialist clinical expertise with an innovative and person-centred approach to palliative care. The successful candidate will lead and inspire a dedicated multidisciplinary team of skilled clinicians to deliver excellence in patient care and outcomes, while providing strategic direction for the service in alignment with organisational priorities and the broader vision of the Continuing Care Program Motivated by a commitment to advancing palliative care delivery, the Clinical Director will drive service innovation, strengthen research capability, mentor and develop emerging clinical leaders, and foster strong partnerships across St Vincent's and its academic, community and healthcare networks. Supported by a high-performing executive leadership team, the Clinical Director will play a pivotal role in enhancing the profile, impact and future direction of Palliative Care Services through a collaborative "One St Vincent's" approach.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical and professional leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred palliative care services across St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
• Lead the ongoing development and implementation of strategic and operational plans that align Palliative Care Services with the broader objectives of Continuing Care Services, SVHM and St Vincent's Health Australia.
• Promote a culture of clinical excellence, quality improvement, safety and innovation, ensuring research evidence and best practice are translated into patient care.
• Provide expert specialist advice and leadership to multidisciplinary teams, supporting excellence in symptom management, end-of-life care and holistic care for patients and their families.
• Lead and develop a high performing multidisciplinary team, building workforce capability through mentorship, education and succession planning.
• Drive service development and growth opportunities, including the implementation of innovative models of care across inpatient, subacute, community and specialist palliative care settings.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, academic institutions, government agencies and professional bodies.
• Advance education and training activities across the service, ensuring high-quality learning environments for medical students, trainees and multidisciplinary clinicians.
• Strengthen the research profile and academic standing of Palliative Care Services through collaboration, publication, translation of evidence into practice and the development of research capability.
• Provide leadership in organisational priorities and business planning to ensure achievement of clinical, operational, workforce and financial objectives.

Classifications for this position will range from Specialist Year 1 -Year 9 (HM33 - HM41) Full Time), dependent on time commitment and years of experience.

Selection Criteria Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and specialist qualification in Palliative Medicine.
• Evidence of ongoing CME participation.
• Indemnification with recognised Medical Defence Association Driver's licence.

  • Strong track record in creating high performing teams that deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Highly regarded as a clinician leader with excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues.

About the Role

The Clinical Director Adult Bed Based Mental Health provides clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective clinical services that meet relevant organisational, regulatory and accreditation standards. Working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders, the role fosters strong internal and external collaborations. This includes other parts of the Mental Health and Addiction Medicine program as well as the SVHM Emergency Department and Inpatient wards.
