Rural Northwest Health is committed to achieving the best health for the Wimmera and Mallee community. Warracknabeal campus is one of three campuses and provides a comprehensive range of acute, urgent care, aged care, community health and allied services. Warracknabeal campus is located, a short distance from Warracknabeal’s central business district and approximately halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. Rural Northwest Health in seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Acute and Urgent Care centre at the Warracknabeal Campus. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the operational effectiveness of the designated unit, including the day-to-day management of the clinical area, rosters, quality and safety for all, effective utilisation of resources, equipment and facilities and performance development and management of the clinical team.
The successful candidate will have:
• Relevant post graduate training or education in aged care, acute medical or emergency nursing.
• Relevant post-graduate education in leadership and management, or plans to undertake.

The Position

The Position:

Salary:

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) Women & Babies is one of the busiest maternity services in NSW. Within this service, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU) provides highly specialised tertiary neonatal care for newborns requiring intensive and high dependency care.
We are looking for someone who can provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across our NNICU and Special Care Nursery.

Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse, Division 1, with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria- Must hold or be working towards a post-registration qualification in emergency/critical care or nursing management, or have a minimum 5 year post registration experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Demonstrated understanding of the different Emergency Department's models of care and an understanding of the Emergency Key Performance Indicators including Emergency Treatment Performance (ETP).
- Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem-solving, formulating new approaches and implementing strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes.
