Applicants should be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and / or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Visiting Medical Officer Determination

Central Coast is comprised of the twin areas of Gosford and Wyong, positioned between Sydney and Newcastle, which are collectively expected to grow from the current approximate 300,000 to 450,000 population before 2030. The Local Health District has strong connections with both Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Newcastle.

This position has obligations to both Gosford Hospital under Sessional arrangements and Wyong Hospital under Fee for Service arrangements. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Visiting Medical Officer Determination.

This role is to provide firstly a clinical management and consultation service to patients with conditions applicable to the sub-specialty of Interventional Cardiology and participate in an appropriate on- call roster for Central Coast Local Health District at the two acute care sites in Gosford and Wyong Hospitals, secondly to provide education, supervision and support to junior medical staff, and thirdly to engage in ongoing quality assurance activities both at the Departmental and District Level and additionally as directed by the Director of Medical Services and the Director of Clinical Governance. As an Interventional Cardiologist, the Candidate is required to be credentialed according to the CSANZ competence criteria for percutaneous coronary interventions. Completing at least one year of fellowship program in Interventional Cardiology is essential. A strong commitment for 24/7 primary PCI service is essential.

Staff Specialist - Paediatrics - Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital

Located on the land of Kamilaroi/Gomeroi/Gamillaray people, Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, with 282 beds is the largest healthcare facility in NSW outside the Sydney-Wollongong-Newcastle metropolis.

Our Paediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Unit provides services to children in the New England, North West & Upper Hunter area and is the major referral centre for the northern sector of HNELHD. The Paediatric Unit has 18 beds with over 2600 admissions per year. Including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dental, gastroenterology, endocrinology, oncology and mental health admissions. Our Paediatric outpatient clinic sees an approximate of 5000 patients annually. Visiting subspecialty outreach clinics from JHCH include Paediatric Surgery, Endocrinology, Neurology, Brain Injury, Respiratory/CF, Haematology-oncology, Cleft palate, Immunology, Rehabilitation, Neonatal follow up, Cardiac and Out of Home Care. We boast a strong experienced community allied health team providing developmental assessments and specialty clinics.

Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital also provides Level 3 Neonatal Services, supporting newborns delivered at our Level 4 maternity service. The paediatric team attends all high-risk deliveries and provides neonatal resuscitation, stabilisation, and ongoing care for infants born 32 weeks' gestation or 1500 g, as well as initial resuscitation and stabilisation for infants born unexpectedly below these thresholds prior to NETS retrieval. Our Special Care Nursery provides short-term CPAP, phototherapy, glucose stabilisation, sepsis management, feeding and growth support, temperature regulation, and transition care for infants returning from tertiary units. Neonatal care consistently represents more than half of our inpatient workload, making it a central and defining component of the paediatrician role. The service maintains close partnership with NETS and John Hunter Children's Hospital, . Step into early-phase and first-in-human Phase I clinical trials as a Medical Officer (Sub-Investigator).

You'll work alongside an experienced team of investigators, coordinators, nurses and pharmacists at an established Melbourne trials unit, providing high-quality medical care to participants.

This is a genuine mid-to-long-term career move into clinical research, not a short stopover, and no prior trials experience is needed: full training is provided.

• Lead informed consent, eligibility assessment, participant safety and adverse-event review
• Act as Sub-Investigator on delegated studies, and as Principal Investigator on healthy-volunteer studies when delegated
• Conduct medical histories, physical examinations and review of screening results
• Manage participants throughout their time on study, prescribing within scope
• Contribute to a safe, high-quality and compliant trials operation

• Salary $126,669 to $155,027, set by PGY level (PGY3 to PGY8)
• Full-time, part-time or casual
• Shifts across a 7:00am to 10:00pm window: clinic floor (for example, 7:00am to 3:00pm or 2:00pm to 10:00pm) or screening (8:00am to 4:00pm)
• Some on-call, around 1 weekend in 2
• Full AHPRA registration
• PGY3+ (minimum 2 years post-registration experience)
• Sound clinical judgement and strong attention to detail
