What you'll be doing

• The Staff Specialist will provide high quality diagnostic, consultative, procedural and on-call specialty services in Anatomical Pathology, and will participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities commensurate with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
• The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and, where required, the encouragement of an academic environment which supports research and development.

Selection Criteria

• Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Anatomical Pathology, and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Applicants expected to receive Fellowship with RCPA by September 2026 are eligible to apply.
• Demonstrated commitment to basic, applied or clinical research and/or medical education and staff training.
• Proven ability to work as a team member with effective communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement is the largest humanitarian network in the world. The RCRC mandate is to protect and support populations experiencing conflicts, disasters and other vulnerabilities.

ARC has been recruiting and placing aid workers to work within the ICRC programs and projects overseas since the mid 70's.

The ICRC works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. The ICRC takes action in response to emergencies and directs and coordinates the international activities conducted in these situations while at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law. The ICRC is an independent and neutral organization with their mandate stemming from the Geneva Conventions of 1949.

The ICRC detention doctor visit places of detention as part of a team of ICRC delegates. The role primarily examines everything relating to individual and collective detainee health: hygiene, access to water, nutritional status, access to food and medical care and the functioning of the healthcare system within the detention facility. The role also involves examining specific cases and documenting instances of torture and other types of ill-treatment, both physical and psychological.

This is an opportunity to work across a diverse and innovative range of specialist child, youth and family mental health services, delivering high quality psychiatric assessments, treatment, consultation and leadership to children, adolescents, young people and families experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

The successful applicant will contribute to service delivery across the CYF-MH portfolio, notably to Safeguards, Whole Family Team and/or the Youth Mental Health Initiative. These teams support young people and their families and include an emphasis on timely crisis-related care and systems-level engagement.

Your part in our Lifeline team

Along with your passion for your local community and leading a store that provides great customer service you will:

•

Demonstrate a passion for Lifeline and its purpose, promoting its service and value to the community through personal actions, behaviours, practices and outcomes

•

Manage all aspects of a retail operation and delegate responsibilities where appropriate to ensure sound business practices are adhered to and sales targets are achieved

•

Work with staff and volunteers to review and monitor pricing, visual merchandising, promotional events and selling techniques to ensure that profitability is maintained and improved

•

Maintain effective communication channels within direct team, regional support functions and external stakeholders and provide assistance to team members in handling customer complaints / enquiries

•

Identify issues and opportunities based on selling and customer feedback

•

Set objectives and prioritise tasks, ensuring objectives are tied to overall business strategy

•

Coach and develop direct reports daily, ensuring development goals are linked to business objectives and improved performance

What makes a difference for us

To be successful for this role you will need to be/have:

Be passionate about Lifeline and be able to articulate its purpose

Demonstrated experience in retail management (or hospitality management with a background in retail), including experience in coaching and mentoring people

•

Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed customer expectations

Demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all store roles, including but not limited to customer service, visual presentation, online marketing and stock control

•

Create a values driven, diverse and safe employment environment that attracts, engages and retains skilled employees and volunteers

Communicate promotional event information to maximise results

•

Identify issues and opportunities based on trends and customer feedback

•

Setting and exceeding priorities to meet daily deadlines; developing plans to meet short-term objectives

A Metropolitan VIC hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in General Practice from 01/01/2026 to 25/02/2026.

We’re seeking experienced and compassionate doctors to support youth-focused care programs providing comprehensive medical, sexual health, and addiction services for young people in secure settings.

You’ll work across small residential facilities caring for young people, supported at all times by nurses and youth support staff. These roles focus on preventative, primary, and acute care within safe, structured environments.

Key Features:

Shadowing and orientation provided before independent practice.
Supportive team environment with established clinical protocols.
Non-billing role.
All consultations supported by nursing or care staff.
Emphasis on safety, respect, and trauma-informed care.

Shifts:

3 x 6 hour shifts per week.
Start times flexible.

Scope:

GP Registrar or PGY5+ doctor with an interest in youth, sexual health, or addiction medicine.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing care with dignity and respect for vulnerable young people.
