Manningham Council is recruiting a Maternal and Child Health Nurse for the Manningham Maternal and Child Health Service. The role provides a flexible, universal, and family-focused MCH service to children from birth to six, partnering with parents to maximise health and development in a supportive team.

You will work in collaboration with families to promote wellbeing, prevent issues, and provide early intervention in a culturally responsive environment.

Using a holistic, strengths-based, and family-centredapproach, you will work in partnership with parents and carers to maximise eachchild's health and developmental potential while supporting family wellbeing.

About the Service

The Universal Maternal and Child Health Service aims tooptimise maternal, child, and family wellbeing, with a strong focus onpromoting positive mental health, healthy relationships, and earlyintervention. Our service focuses on the prevention, identification, andmanagement of physical, developmental, emotional, and social factors that mayimpact young children and their families.

Through health promotion, developmental assessments, andtimely referrals, we support families to access the services and resources theyneed to achieve positive outcomes.

Skills and Experience

• Current registration as both a registered nurse and midwife on the AHPRA register, with Post graduate Diploma/Masters Child and Family Health Nursing.
• A demonstrated commitment toparticipate in continuous improvement, education, professionaldevelopment, to increase knowledge and skills.
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeand understanding of family partnerships, child development and behaviour.
• Driver's licence valid in Victoria.
• Working With Children Check
