At 1300SMILES Bundaberg Post Office, we're looking for a Casual Dental Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of quality dental care to our local community.

Located in the heart of Bundaberg on Bourbong Street, you'll work alongside an experienced dental team in a busy and varied practice, gaining valuable hands on experience while helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and helping the practice run smoothly throughout the day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting dentists and clinicians across a range of procedures
• Providing chairside assistance and anticipating the needs of the clinician
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their appointment
• Maintaining clean, organised and well prepared clinical areas
• Sterilising instruments and following infection control procedures
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a positive patient experience

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous Dental Assisting experience and/or a Certificate III or above in Dental Assisting is highly regarded, but not essential
• A friendly, confident and approachable manner
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes
