The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a Registered Nurse who has responsibility for providing expert advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the Aged Care speciality.
Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 means: A registered nurse appointed as such to a position approved by the Health Service, who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition the employee must have approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed to or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the Health Service. The Opportunity
As an experienced Level 3 Social Worker, you will provide high-quality assessment, treatment and care coordination service to adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You'll deliver high-quality, person-centred care, working closely with individuals on their recovery journey to help them achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing. You will play a key role within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, contributing to a psychosocial perspective to care for mental health consumers.
Your focus will include addressing psychosocial stressors, promoting family and cultural inclusion in care planning, and providing specialist input on matters related to family and domestic violence, as well as child protection. You will be supported in this position by the Community Manager, Clinical Coordinator and Head of Discipline. The successful applicant will become part of a wider Hunter New England local Health District Mental Health Service network and will have access to support and education from key district support positions.

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) is a world leading centre for paediatric organ transplantation with over 500 livers, 300 kidneys, and more recently islets and hearts transplanted. In addition to these clinical activities, SCHN is leading globally significant research programs in organ transplantation and gene therapy, many collaboratively with other local health districts (LHDs), universities and medical research institutes (MRIs). Qualifications and Requirements
