Access Telehealth View all jobs

Access Aged Care is redefining how General Practitioners practise within Residential Aged Care Homes - creating a more sustainable and clinically supported way to practise medicine in aged care.
Backed by the national network of Access Telehealth, our multidisciplinary model enables GPs to focus on timely, proactive resident care while working alongside dedicated nurses, telehealth specialists and streamlined operational systems.
Designed for clinicians who want to continue practising in aged care long-term, without the unsustainable pressures traditionally associated with the sector - this model supports proactive intervention, collaborative care and better health outcomes for older Australians.
Our integrated model of care has contributed to measurable reductions in emergency department presentations, unplanned hospitalisations and polypharmacy within partnered Residential Aged Care Homes nationally.
Through our national network of general practitioners, nurses and specialists, we support Residential Aged Care Homes and regional communities nationwide while improving access to high-quality healthcare for older Australians.
About The RoleAccess Aged Care is seeking expressions of interest from General Practitioners to join our network of clinicians providing on-site care to residents across Residential Aged Care Homes in Stirling and surrounding areas.
This opportunity offers weekday hours only, with no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements. With dedicated after-hours support in place, you can switch off between sessions and protect your personal time.
You will work with a consistent cohort of residents, allowing you to deliver proactive, relationship-based care and build meaningful long-term clinical relationships.
An Access Aged Care Nurse supports your rounds, residents and follow-up care, helping coordinate care plans, investigations and communication with homes so your sessions run smoothly and efficiently.
Supported by telehealth geriatricians, physicians and specialists, you will have trusted backup for complex clinical decision-making and preventative resident care - helping address issues early, before they escape into avoidable deterioration or hospital presentations.
Our integrated model includes shared clinical records, streamlined systems and dedicated practice support, reducing paperwork, coordination and operational burden so you can focus on what matters most - less paperwork, better medicine.
Why GPs Choose Us- Guaranteed Daily Rate: Earn $2,000 per day for an 8-hour workday, with predictable scheduling and consistent demand within established Residential Aged Care Homes.
- Dedicated Nursing Support: An Access Aged Care Nurse supports your rounds, residents and follow-up care - helping your sessions run efficiently, ensuring follow-up actions are completed and allowing you to focus on medicine rather than coordination and administration.
- After-Hours Support - So You're Not Always "On": Work 9AM - 5PM. Dedicated locum and after-hours support means issues are managed when you're off duty, so your personal time stays protected.
- Less Paperwork, Better Medicine: Shared clinical records, systems and practice support streamline referrals, scripts, billing and reporting.
- Specialist Support for Complex Residents: Work alongside telehealth geriatricians and specialists providing preventative input and early intervention support.
- Flexibility That Fits Your Life: Practise within predictable weekday hours, typically 1 regular day per week, with sessions designed to complement your existing practice and commitments.
- Quality Over Quantity: Deliver thoughtful, person-centred care within a structured caseload focused on quality, proactive care and meaningful long-term resident relationships.
- Sustainable Long-Term Practice: Continue practising in aged care within a model designed to reduce burnout, improve work-life balance and provide genuine clinical support.
- Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
- RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
- Availability of 1 day per week initially, with opportunity to increase.
- Comfortable with technology, including system-based reporting and common clinical software.
- A personal laptop is required to perform the duties of this role.
Are you nearing the completion of your Fellowship with the RACGP or ACRRM? We invite you to explore an opportunity to make a significant impact in Aged Care.
Competitive daily rates available for GPs nearing Fellowship.

Staff Specialist / Senior Medical Officer - Paediatrics
Regional Queensland Full-Time Part-Time or VMO Interest Also Welcome
Looking for a paediatric role where you can make a genuine impact, enjoy real clinical variety, and still have a life outside of work?
We are supporting a well-established regional public hospital in north-west Queensland seeking a Staff Specialist / SMO Paediatrician to join its team on a full-time basis. We would also be pleased to hear from VMOs or part-time paediatricians interested in contributing to the service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a key regional referral hospital with a broad scope of practice, strong community value, and a supportive team environment. The hospital is a CSCF Level 4 Specialist Service Base, has approximately 90 beds, and serves as the major referral centre for a wide north-west catchment, supported by a network of smaller remote hospitals and health centres.
The RoleYou will join a paediatric service that offers meaningful, hands-on medicine in a setting where your contribution is truly valued. The department provides care for children from across the region and sits within a hospital that delivers a wide mix of medical, surgical, maternity, emergency, mental health and outpatient services. Previous public job material for this service also highlights a 15-bed paediatric ward and a 4-bed special care nursery, making it an appealing role for a general paediatrician who enjoys both inpatient and newborn work within a regional setting.
About the HospitalThis is not a small isolated facility, but a significant regional hospital with a genuinely important role in the health system. It has undergone redevelopment in recent years, including investment in a new Emergency Department, new Outpatients Department, Mental Health Unit and Paediatrics Unit, and it remains the principal hospital for the broader north-west region. Clinicians here benefit from broad case mix, close teamwork, and the kind of professional visibility and impact that can be hard to find in larger metropolitan systems.
Hospital is located in the regional Queensland town large enough to offer the essentials people actually care about: schools, shops, cafés, sporting facilities, airport access and a strong sense of community. It is the major service centre for the north-west, with a population of around 20,000, so you are not stepping into a tiny outpost.
There is a real outdoors lifestyle here, with space, sunshine and easy access to fishing, camping and weekend adventures. The local airport provides regular connectivity and makes FIFO-style or flexible travel discussions far more realistic than many doctors initially expect. It is also the kind of place where doctors quickly become part of the community and where their work is both visible and appreciated.
What we are looking forWe would love to speak with:
- FRACP-qualified Paediatricians
- Doctors eligible for specialist registration in Australia
- Paediatricians interested in full-time, part-time, or VMO-style arrangements
- Clinicians who enjoy regional medicine, broad practice, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team
Some regional jobs promise "lifestyle" but offer limited clinical interest. This one offers both. You will be joining a service where paediatrics matters, where the hospital plays a genuine referral role, and where there is enough scale to keep the work interesting without losing the supportive feel that makes regional practice so rewarding.
