Orthotic and Prosthetics (O&P)

Based at Whyalla Hospital, our Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) Department provides personalised support for custom braces and artificial limbs. As the only O&P service located outside metropolitan South Australia, we proudly deliver care across regional centres including Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, and Port Pirie. We support clients during hospital stays in Whyalla and those attending appointments for rehabilitation and temporary prosthetic care. Our team also works closely with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) to provide ongoing care and partners with podiatrists to assist clients with high-risk feet in Whyalla and Port Augusta. Our mission is simple: to improve movement and quality of life through treatment, education, and support.

About the Role:

Step into a Senior Podiatrist role where your expertise and leadership will shape high-quality, community-focused services across the Flinders Upper North Regional Health Service and rural and remote South Australia. You will work closely with allied health staff, managers and stakeholders to support service improvement, model of care development and workforce initiatives.

In this role, you will deliver complex clinical and consultancy services with a high level of independence, provide expert advice on service development and contribute to clinical protocols and projects at a network level. You will also support clinical supervision, education and professional development, while contributing to quality improvement and clinical governance within the podiatry service. The Podiatrist also works closely with community nursing in the wound clinic and the SA Health award winning Orthotics and Prosthetics team!

Overview

The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network are currently seeking Midwives to join their CenSTaR Candidate Pool 2026/2027.

YNLHN offers an all-risk Midwifery Group Practice, enabling midwives to work autonomously within a continuity of care caseload model. Our MGP model is recognised for its high levels of professional satisfaction and strong clinical support, allowing you to work to the full scope of your midwifery practice while delivering truly woman-centred care.

About the Role

As an MGP Midwife, you will provide continuity of care across the entire maternity journey, including:

• Antenatal care and clinics from 12–14 weeks
• Intrapartum care
• Postnatal care in hospital and at home
• Collaborative multidisciplinary clinics
• Lactation support

This role supports autonomous practice while working within a collaborative, progressive, and supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Our MGP Services

Across five MGP sites, YNLHN supports approximately 600 women and families each year:

• Larger sites: Port Pirie, Wallaroo, Clare
• Smaller sites: Jamestown, Crystal Brook

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Recent midwifery practice across the full maternity continuum
• Strong clinical knowledge within woman-centred continuity models
• Well-developed communication, leadership, and clinical escalation skills
• Experience in quality improvement and risk management
• Digital capability to support safe, effective patient care

Overview

The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network are currently seeking Enrolled Nurses to join their CenSTaR Candidate Pool 2026/2027.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be working with a supportive, multidisciplinary team where your skills directly contribute to safe, effective patient outcomes. These casual roles offer flexibility across a 7-day roster, including night duty.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Support care planning, prioritisation, and completion of delegated clinical tasks within scope of practice
• Monitor, recognised, and report changes in patient condition, escalating appropriately
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and effective communication within the care team
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-based approach to holistic patient care

Essential Criteria

• Enrolled (or eligible for enrolment) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Current (or eligible for) AHPRA practising certificate
• Experience providing nursing care in a healthcare setting
• Strong person-centred care approach
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and use clinical judgement within scope of practice

Overview

Join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) CenSTaR Assistant in Nursing Candidate Pool, and contribute to caring for residents and patients across various YNLHN facilities.

Step into a rewarding Assistant in Nursing role where your support makes a real difference every day. Working alongside Enrolled and Registered Nurses, you'll assist with personal care, basic clinical tasks, and help prepare for procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.

You'll play a key role in creating a positive, respectful experience for residents and clients, contributing to both their physical wellbeing and a culturally safe setting. With guidance from a collaborative care team, you'll follow established standards and protocols while building your skills in a supportive healthcare environment.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible to apply, you must be:

• Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; OR
• Employed on the basis that the person is, or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses; OR
• Hold a Certificate III or IV in one of the following health related disciplines:
  • Basic Health Care;
  • Aged Care;
  • Health Services Assistance: (Qualifications to include elective units recommended for AIN Acute care);
  • Home and Community Care;
  • Individual Support Work;
  • Or such other nationally recognised courses approved within the healthcare setting by full agreement of DHA and the ANMF
