Harbourside Port Stephens is seeking an experienced allied health leader to guide a multidisciplinary team across Residential Care and Home Care, focusing on person-centred care and consumer outcomes.

Leading a multidisciplinary approach, the role requires strong allied health leadership experience, with contemporary knowledge of multidisciplinary practices, clinical governance and person-centred care. Services are integrated across Residential Care and Home Care, and are focused on consumer needs to maintain independence, function, wellbeing and quality of life. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong professional judgement, integrity and accountability. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to build solid internal and external partnerships, and a history of driving service innovation to achieve better consumer outcomes.

• Demonstrated people leadership and change capability, developing collaborative, accountable teams and leading continuous improvement.
• Ability to make sound decisions and manage competing demands and priorities in a complex service environment.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, including managing budgets, resources and service performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across clinical, operational and corporate teams including managing external providers and multidisciplinary partnerships.
• Sound knowledge of aged care legislation, quality standards and governance requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Proficient with technology including electronic care, MS Office suite andbusiness systems.

• Tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline.
• Current AHPRA registration where required, or eligibility for membership of the relevant Australian professional association.
• Postgraduate qualification in health service management, aged care, clinical leadership, business management or a related discipline will be well regarded.
• Current valid NSW Driver Licence.

Leading the Residential Care management team, the role works closely with Care Managers, the Clinical Quality team and administration staff to ensure operational, quality and regulatory standards are met, while fostering a positive, accountable culture. The successful applicant will demonstrate significant experience leading multipdisciplinary teams in residential aged care, health or human services. A deep understanding of the Aged Care Standards and experience working in a heavily regulated environment will be well regarded.

• Deep knowledge of aged care operations, quality standards, funding and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, judgement and decision-making capability.
• Ability to establish clear accountability and lead through change.
• Sound financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, labour costs and operational performance.
• Demonstrated skills in workforce planning, problem solving and organisational ability.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement skills together with strong verbal and written communication.
• High level of professional integrity, accountability and resilience.
• Proficiency in electronic care, MS Office applications and workforce planning/business systems.

• A tertiary qualification or substantial equivalent experience in health, aged care, business management or a related discipline is required.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is desirable but not essential.
