A key component of this is our role as the lead agency for five headspace Centres, including Geraldton Youth Hub, located on Southern Yamatji country.

This unique and innovative project brings together all levels of mental health support for young people under one roof. Services in the Hub will deliver support individualised to each young person, through strength-based independence, and empowering a young person's natural support network. About the Role Reporting to the Centre Manager, this position ensures day-to-day clinical operations are evidence based . Key responsibilities include:

• Support coordinate integrated youth friendly, early intervention mental health services to young people accessing headspace Geraldton and Outreach services through the Geraldton Youth Hub
• Provide clinical leadership, consultation, advice, and expertise to clinicians in the delivery of mental health care to young people and their supports
• With support from the Centre Manager, provide line management, consultation, and support to direct reports in the delivery of day-to-day youth friendly mental health services
• Liaise and consult with relevant stakeholders including, schools, community partners and other services to promote a consistent and coordinated service delivery response for young people
• Oversee the robust delivery of evidence-based interventions, including group interventions, Single Session Consultation, and problem solving
• Lead and coordinate regular clinical case review meetings and team meetings to ensure appropriate clinical service pathway and service delivery
• Coordinate the provision of integrated services within the headspace and Outreach programs, including consortium partners and Private Practitioners
• Assist the Centre Manager with contract related reporting and auditing processes

About You

To be considered for this position, applicants will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (bachelors or higher) with current full registration/membership with AASW or AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, multidisciplinary team coordination, and clinical leadership
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with capacity to prioritise and manage competing work tasks whilst delivering to agreed deadlines
• Demonstrated experience and ability to coordinate care for young people in areas of mental health and substance use intervention, including provision of counselling and therapeutic interventions
• Demonstrated experience and ability to undertake screening and assessment to determine and manage varying levels of risk
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team
• Capacity to work at least one late evening till 7pm (Monday or Thursday)
• 'C' Class driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

About the Role

Youth Focus is seeking a passionate and experienced General Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team and play a pivotal role in establishing and delivering youth-friendly GP services within our Perth Youth Mental Health Hub .

This is a unique opportunity to help design and grow an innovative, integrated model of care that brings together mental health, physical health and wellbeing services for young people. Working closely with our Practice Manager, Clinical Director, and Leadership Team, you will help shape how safe, accessible and youth-friendly healthcare is delivered, ensuring an exceptional client experience while contributing to our vision of improving youth mental health outcomes across Western Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver high-quality, youth-friendly, and person-centred healthcare providing comprehensive, coordinated and continuous care to young people
• Provide preventative healthcare, screening, early intervention, and treatment that supports the physical, mental and social wellbeing of young people
• Champion the role of General Practitioner in delivering accessible and youth-friendly health services and promoting optimal youth mental health outcomes in the community
• Work with the Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and organisational leaders to implement and review frameworks that support integrated and complex care services
• Help develop and implement Perth's Youth Mental Health Hub Model of Care, including GP shared-care pathways, resources, and innovative approaches to youth-friendly healthcare
