In this key clinical role, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based management for people with severe brain and spinal injuries, as well as those requiring general rehabilitation.
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will lead patient assessment and treatment planning to optimise outcomes and quality of life. You will also contribute to research, service development and the supervision and training of registrars and junior medical staff.

Key responsibilities include- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with brain, spinal and neurological injuries, including cognitive, physical and psychosocial evaluations.

What you'll be doing
As a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Neurologist, you will provide expert, patient-centred neurological services across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, delivering high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for patients with a broad range of neurological conditions. Working across inpatient, outpatient and community-based settings, you will play a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care while supporting continuity of treatment for patients throughout the region. You will also support the development of the future medical workforce through the supervision, teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff, medical students and other healthcare professionals. About this OpportunityRFDS SA/NT retrieval doctors support remote South Australia & Northern Territory by providing remote emergency advice, clinical coordination of primary retrievals & aeromedical emergency care from our Port Augusta base. You may be based/living in Adelaide maintaining your skills in emergency medicine or anaesthesia, with a passion for supporting regional communities part time by driving to Port Augusta once every 4-8 weeks for a 4-7-day rotation as part of a team of highly skilled doctors and flight nurses. About You- Unrestricted Medical Practitioner registration with AHPRA.

You will gain experience across general neurology and subspecialty areas including Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke/TIA, Movement Disorders, Vestibular disorders and Cognitive Neurology.
The role includes participation in Stroke/Neurology and Ambulatory rotations, contributing to acute and consultative neurology services. You will be supported by Neurologists providing leadership in acute stroke care, including thrombolysis and decision-making around clot retrieval. Training opportunities include neuroradiology meetings, EEG, EMG/NCS exposure and structured education programs such as brain school. On-call and weekend work is shared across the neurology team with strong consultant support.

The Team:
THS Pathology -LGH provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. The team at THS Pathology -LGH comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists.
The Role:
This role will support the Staff Specialist Microbiologist by providing clinical and diagnostic advice to Pathology and the ID physician team within the Infectious Diseases Department at LGH. The position will also provide leave coverage for the Staff Specialist Microbiologist during periods of absence.
You will need:
- Experience in management of the clinical microbiology service including bench-level advice
- Experience in communication of critical microbiology results to the treating teams
- To be prepared for regular interaction with the hospital's infectious diseases service and the infection control unit

About this OpportunityThe Clinical Director Retrieval Services is the medical head of aeromedical retrieval services in RFDS SA/NT. About the roleRural Generalists (RGs) at RFDS join a team that combines experienced RGs alongside Retrieval Consultants, together providing primary care, emergency aeromedical care and telemedicine - a uniquely supported environment for RGs and senior GP trainees alike.
The RFDS Primary Health Care Service is delivered by a team of RGs, ACRRM and RACGP Registrars, nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals. Comprehensive health services are delivered by a combination of telephone consultations, scheduled fly-in clinics encompassing GP/Nurse/Midwife/Mental Health/Oral Health, with additional permanent Remote Area Nurse clinics across various SA locations. These services include General Practice, Preventative Health, Community Medicine, Obstetrics Shared Care, Aged & Palliative Care, Men's & Women's Health, Mental Health, Sexual Health, and Aboriginal Health.
RGs also provide emergency telehealth consultations to both patients and remote area clinicians (RANs, mine site paramedics), and low to moderate acuity emergency aeromedical care collaboratively with our highly skilled flight nursing team. High acuity retrieval cases are additionally supported by a team of Retrieval Consultants, providing additional critical care advice both on call and in person.
All new doctors receive a formal week-long clinical orientation in Adelaide, followed by supernumerary buddied shifts the first week in Port Augusta. The service is supported by administrative staff and a 24/7 Operations Control Centre located on-site.
About YouWith a keen interest in rural and remote emergency and primary care medicine you will be challenged to use your expertise and initiative in both aeromedical and remote outback clinic environments.

SESLHD's Sexual Health and Blood Borne VirusServices (SHBBV) provides leadership,innovation and research in the sector. The RoleWe're currently looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator to provide for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the Health Centre. Such education may include local/site orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff. The focus of the role will be the improvement and development of the clinical skills and competencies of the staff working in the areas of responsibility.
