Overview

Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (LHN) serves one of South Australia's most geographically expansive and culturally rich communities. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior executive role where your clinical leadership will directly shape the quality and future of nursing and midwifery services across a regional network that genuinely depends on strong, values-led leadership.

Accountable to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery (EDN&M) carries dual responsibility: driving strategic and transformational clinical governance across the LHN, while providing operational support that ensures service delivery confidence at every level. As an integral member of the LHN leadership team, you will set direction, lead system-wide reform, and hold accountability for outcomes that matter to patients and communities across the Eyre and Far North region.

• Lead the development and implementation of nursing and midwifery frameworks, standards, and practice systems across the LHN
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve clinical practice and service delivery against quality and safety accreditation standards
• Support the CEO in ensuring operational services function with a high degree of organisational effectiveness
• Champion culturally responsive care, with meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the region

What You Bring

• Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Minimum five years post-registration clinical experience
• Substantial senior management experience spanning personnel, finance, and strategic planning
• Demonstrated success leading significant organisational change and implementing new service delivery models - essential within a SA Health or comparable regional health context
• Proven ability to maintain safety and quality accreditation standards in a complex health environment
• Highly developed communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
