WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is offering a unique opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist (CAMHS) to join one of its highly desirable regions - the Great Southern.

The Consultant Psychiatrist (CAMHS) provides comprehensive clinical assessments, psychiatric care and treatment for children and adolescents across the community and inpatient setting. This dynamic role combines clinical practice with regular outreach services to surrounding communities, broadening your impact beyond the hospital setting.

The CAMHS team is based in the community clinic in Albany and provides outreach to other towns in the region. They see the full range of conditions in the 0-18 age range and work closely with the local paediatric team and other local youth services as well as adult mental health services to ensure a smooth transition of care.

• Unconditional AHPRA Specialist Registration
• Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist (FRANZCP) OR are eligible for Specialist Registration via the expedited specialist pathway.
• Extensive clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health.
• Knowledge of/and experience in biological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
