The BiOC Team Leader will support the Program Manager in the effective implementation of the Jajumbora BiOC Model of Care by managing and coordinating the Family Support Workers (FSWs) within the Hub. This hands on role involves direct engagement with staff and clients, ensuring that comprehensive and culturally informed maternal and child health services are provided.

The position is not only hands on but also deeply rewarding, offering the chance to make a meaningful and impactful difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families.

Duties

• Establish and maintain regular reporting activities related to client record systems.
• Conduct regular audits of Family Support Workers' (FSWs) caseloads and facilitate high risk case conferences with FSWs.
• Lead incident debriefing processes.
• Provide monthly supervision sessions with FSWs.
• Support the team in working confidently within the BiOC Model of Care.
• Offer ongoing education and support to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Develop individual Professional Learning Plans for team members, including clear goals and actions.
• Lead targeted coaching to enhance team performance.
• Enhance communication within the team to promote ATSICHS vision and core values. Foster a positive team culture through targeted reinforcement and praise.
• Maintain high consistency and accountability for scheduled tasks in LogiQC. Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within specified action day.
• Support and manage a continuous improvement model to enhance service delivery and staff practices.
• Oversee the daily implementation of the Jajumbora BiOC Model of Care, ensuring alignment with program guidelines and objectives. Adapt the model as needed to address specific community needs and feedback.

• Starting salary of $113,313 + 12% super.

Desired Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree or Diplomain Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Counselling, or relevant social services field with at least 5 years' experience in Child Protection, Family Support, Youth Support or relevant human services field.

AND

• Demonstrated experience in overseeing and coordinating case management processes and procedures.
• Ability to lead, guide and manage people including the implementation of cultural change and change management opportunities.
• Ability to work in a performance driven environment and meet month-to-month program targets and performance outcomes.
• Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model to further improve the service model and practice application of front line staff.
• Further qualifications or experience in settings related to maternal, child health, or family services.
• Experience in developing and implementing health or community service programs.
• Familiarity with local services and networks within Brisbane and Logan, including other health and social service providers.
