Where you'll be workingTamworth Emergency Department is a busy, dynamic and rewarding clinical environment providing care to a diverse range of patients from across the New England North West region. We provide a comprehensive emergency service with three resuscitation bays, an acute care area, a dedicated paediatric emergency area, Fast Track, Emergency Short Stay Unit (ESSU), Mental Health services and a co-located retrieval service.
About the roleAs a Level 5 Rural Referral Emergency Department, you will have the opportunity to care for patients presenting with a broad range of acute, complex and life-threatening conditions.

What you'll be doing- Undertake rapid assessment, triage and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration, trauma presentations, medical emergencies and resuscitation events.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products and other treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures, including intravenous cannulation, wound management, ECGs and specimen collection.
- Participate in advanced life support and resuscitation interventions.
We are looking for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse who is clinically capable, adaptable and committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Recent Emergency Department nursing experience will be highly regarded.

Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
