• The Role

The Radiation Therapy Supervisor provides clinical supervision, leadership and oversight to a range of teams of Radiation Therapists in the provision of accurate radiation therapy simulation, planning, treatment and quality assurance to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist consistent with NSW Health SESLHD policies, Procedures & standards.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated high level ability and knowledge in all aspects of Radiation Therapy clinical practice including simulation, quality assurance, education, research, planning and treatment techniques and principles.
• High level experience and knowledge of current radiotherapy equipment to deliver effective services.
• Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, with proven ability to provide guidance to staff.
• Demonstrated high level analytical skills, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to provide sound advice and recommendations across the service.
• Demonstrated drive, motivation, and strong leadership skills to coach, mentor, assess and develop staff in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising and supporting an effective team with the ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives.
• Demonstrated understanding and ability to provide Quality Assurance and accurate documentation in radiotherapy practice.
• Current EPA licence and registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as Medical Radiation Therapist.
