As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Surgical Unit (ASU), you'll care for patients throughout their surgical journey, delivering high-quality pre- and post-operative care across a diverse range of specialties including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Colorectal, Head & Neck, and Trauma.With a high turnover of patients and short admissions, ASU offers an exciting environment where you'll continually expand your clinical knowledge and develop advanced skills. You'll gain hands-on experience managing complex surgical care, including central venous access devices, surgical drains, wound management, bladder irrigation, patient-controlled analgesia, ketamine infusions and blood transfusions, while working alongside a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team.Whether you're looking to broaden your surgical experience or take the next step in your nursing career, you'll be supported every step of the way.
